Shading and Solar Surveying Training

Learn hands-on shading assessments and specialised site-surveying for solar energy.

A practical-based 1-day session using the latest desktop online methods and on-site survey tools. The emphasis is on designing for photovoltaic (PV) but is applicable to solar thermal as well. Includes practice with the MCS shading method required for certification under UK subsidy schemes.

Join our training sessions:

The course will focus on the practical side of design, conducting site assessments and assessing shading risk. The acquired data will be transferred via portable and desktop equipment. We will give you grounding in the theory behind the accessing solar radiation. Online resources for importing digitised terrains will also be considered. Training can be undertaken in mixed-company sessions, at your own offices or online.
